Scripture Song of Proverbs 19:23

“The Fear of The Lord”

Commentary on Proverbs 19:23

by Living Faith Fellowship

How often we seek to appropriate God's promises and blessing in our lives, without stopping to ask ourselves if we are walking in obedience to Him. If we truly fear the Lord, we will trust and obey him because of who He is, not because of what we expect him to do for us. If we truly have this "fear that tends to life," we can be satisfied in knowing that, while the circumstances of our lives may at times seem evil to us, "all things work together for good to those who love God." (Rom. 8:28)
