Scripture Song of Jeremiah 33:3

“Call Unto Me And I Will Answer Thee”

Commentary on Jeremiah 33:3

by Living Faith Fellowship

We all like to think we know something, and consequently we tend to overestimate the knowledge we actually have. Like the ant who climbed a blade of grass and said he'd seen the world, we make the mistake of comparing our knowledge to that of other finite brains. All the human knowledge we could ever hope to gain doesn't begin to approach the unsearchable riches of the Creator's mind - riches that are freely available to us through the Holy Spirit, if we will only ask (Jas. 1:5).

If we become too enamored with our ability to figure things out on our own, we may never reach the place of simply asking the One who knows all. When we do reach that place and "call unto him," there is no limit to the "great and mighty things" his Spirit can reveal to our hearts. Like the feast of wisdom in Proverbs 9, the invitation could not be more open.
