Scripture Song of Job 23:8-10

“Behold, I Go Forward”

Commentary on Job 23:8-10

by Living Faith Fellowship

While few of us will ever experience trials like those of Job, we all encounter perplexing times when, try as we may, we cannot detect the hand of God in our circumstances. Rather than straining our limited brains trying to figure out how God is working all things together for our good, we can rest in the knowledge that He is - because He said so (Rom. 8:28). As mortals, we will probably never understand the complete picture, but we don't have to - we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7). The "dark glass" of this life (1 Cor. 13:12) is our opportunity to develop faith, the one thing without which it is impossible to please God (Heb. 11:6). "Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed" (John 20:29).
