"Unto Him That Loved Us..."

Rev. 1:5-6

5. ... Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6. And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Commentary

The basic, glorious truth of our salvation is that we have been washed clean by the Blood of the Lamb. Being thus cleansed and clothed in his righteousness, sinners such as ourselves can be received by the Father, and made eligible to live and reign eternally with the Son who made it possible. The joy of participating in life under his dominion will truly be more than the human heart can imagine.
